Pasio 5 – the new compact balancing machine for rotors up to 5 kilogrammes

03.11.2008 - The new PASIO 5 is your flexible partner for the balancing of smaller-size rotors ranging from 50 grams to 5 kilograms - either in the workshop or laboratory, in the repair shop or in small-series production. Space-saving, precise and easy to handle - these are only three of the many advantages that turn the new PASIO 5 into a perfect tool for efficiency and process security in your company. A comprehensive operating philosophy serves to simplify work on the machine. This begins with the ergonomic arrangement of the control elements and is continued in the user-friendly touch-screen in combination with the CAB 920 measuring device. During set-up, the PASIO 5 also shows its further benefits: With its inbuilt line laser, you achieve a rapid and fault-free adjustment of the machine to the rotor. All values are recorded so that they can be retrieved again at a later point of time. The new laser detection head can be easily calibrated, thus offering an even more precise angular position - in most cases a simple line in a high-contrast colour is sufficient for a safe measurement. Through the automatic angular positioning to the balancing points, the PASIO 5 enables an exact and rapid correction of the unbalance. It also achieves reliably precise measurements for electric-motor armatures such as permanent magnet armatures. For smaller and very small rotors, the belt drive is replaced by an elastic drive belt. Combined with prism bearings, this ensures a maximal measuring sensitivity, which enables the processing of very light precision parts, electric motors and spindles for the textile and machine tool industry. Rotors in the standard range from one to four kilograms are balanced using a universally applicable belt drive.
